چکیده
Abstract Khapra beetle, Trogoderma granarium Everts, 1898 (Coleoptera: Dermestidae) is one of the most notorious pests stored grains. This study was aimed to evaluate efficacy ozone against 2nd and 5th instars adults T. in wheat kernels under laboratory conditions. Four concentrations 300, 600, 900, 1200 parts per million by volume (ppmv) were used. The results revealed that LC 50 values 249.76 ppmv for adult, 446.75 instar, 275.30 instar after 2 h exposure ozone. No emerged when concentration ppmv, while emergence high controls (91.20%) a 1-h period. highest resulted strong grain protection adult instars, with 0.63%, 0.73%, 1.16% loss weight, respectively. Chemical analysis treated at showed no significant differences ( p > 0.05) fat, moisture, ash, carbohydrate, fiber, protein content ozone-treated compared untreated grain. Thus, can be effectively used control provides sufficient wheat.

Invader Competition with Local Competitors: Displacement or Coexistence among the Invasive Khapra Beetle, Trogoderma granarium Everts (Coleoptera: Dermestidae), and Two Other Major Stored-Grain Beetles?
Local potential competitor species are important determinants of the invasibility of an environment even when widely recognized invasive species are concerned since it may compromise its establishment. Thus, the outcome of the direct competition among the invasive khapra beetle, Trogoderma granarium, and the cosmopolitan species lesser grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica and rice weevil, Sitophil...

The effect of n 2.5% concentration by weight of lricalcium phosphate in a wheat genn diet on the demographic parameters (life table) of the khapra beetle, Trogoderma grallarium Everts, was investigated. This sublethal concent.ration of tricalcium phosphate, a known insect population suppressant for many slored-product insect and mite species. caused no significant changes in either the intrinsi...

The anti-feedant and growth inhibitory effects of seed extracts of custard apple in hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol were tested against neonate and 7 days old larvae of the Khapra beetle, Trogoderma granarium, using a feeding bioassay. The LC50 values for hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol extracts were 1195.41, 305.36 and 1446.32 ppm for neonate larvae; 5805, 1300 and 5815 ppm for 7 days ol...
متن کاملNaturally Occurring Entomopathogenic Fungi Infecting Stored Grain Insect Species in Punjab, Pakistan
The occurrence of entomopathogenic fungi isolated from stored grain insect pests sampled from various geographical regions of Punjab, Pakistan, was investigated. In total, 25,720 insects from six different species were evaluated, and 195 isolates from 24 different fungal species were recovered. These included the Ascomycetes Beauveria bassiana sensu lato (Balsamo) Vuillemin (Hypocreales: Clavic...
